My first attempt to write a blog!

Today in class we discussed something that got me thinking. We talked about Barack Obama and how he chose to raise his own money to campaign instead of using his share of the provided money. He has raised more money than any other candidate has in the past, and he is using it to advertise in unusual places such as video games and his own tv show. John McCain, however, chose to stick with his provided money and as a result his campaign spending is far, far less than Obama's. My thought on this is that John McCain had the opprutunity to make the same choice as Obama and he chose not to do so. He shouldn't be upset at Obama's campaign for taking a risk and raising the money on their own. This election is an extremely big deal and both of the candidates should be doing whatever they can to win or they don't deserve it!
